HOVER FOR DETAILS! Bro, if you're using a mac, I got your back. You know how even though steam workshop doesn't work on mac the workshop files will still download after you subscribe to them? I found where they download, and I've been using this to get mods from the steam workshop even though I play on a mac OS. I found the files under/library/applicationsupport/steam/userdata/87954279/ugc/referenced, and under that last folder there should be whole bunch of folders with long strings of numbers in the title containing.civ5mod files. In order to expand the.civ5mod files into a format that the game can read, you need to download a file unarchiver like The Unarchiver on the Mac App store and extract to your mods folder under documents/Aspyr/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS. Your security preferences will probably automatically disallow you from expanding these files, so go to your system preferences, go to security & privacy, and look for an 'open anyway' button near the bottom of the page.

It should then extract to your mods folder no problem. Feel free to ask any questions if you encounter any difficulties! Happy Modding!.
Custom Civilizations are those mods which introduce new civilizations to the game. Po Ngbe, Nas Tuki (Scout), Colossal Heads (Monument), Part of Set 5.
HOVER FOR DETAILS! Well, there seems to be a bug where it's not all UUs - certain UUs such as the Pathfinder aren't buildable. I suspect this is either because A) I have too many other modded civs in the game, so the large number of UUs causes it to drop a few or B)it counts scouts (and thus pathfinders and a few others) as being 'civilian' units for some reason(As Gil's UA only gives him military uniques). But yes, it can be very fun to run a game where your military consists entirely of unique units from beginning to end. Not exactly challenging, but fun. Also, in terms of authors, Colonialist Legacies and Sukritact are also very good.

Rather than recommend a new 'team,' let me recommend some mods that will let you enjoy the combat aspects. All these can be found on the steam workshop I think.Promotions Expansion Pack - By far the coolest thing ever for Civ 5 Combat. Losing a high ranked unit will be a soul crushing experience in war.Contextual Unit Names - Automatically assigns names to your units, massive customization options.Improvement Airbases - Once you turn this mod on, you will never turn it off.Terrain Motte-and-bailey Fort - a real improvement over the standard fort.
Looks cool too.Terrain Kasbah Extension - while it screws over the Moroccan Team, desert forts look cool and are awesome versus a terrain type that gets little use.Events and Decisions - Not remotely related to your question, but if you don't have it, then get it. Just trust me random internet stranger!.Really Advanced Setup - lets you engineer a world from the start that is more geared towards the kind of environment (combat) you want. Want to fight a death match vs 9 deity Mongolians with 20 horses each at spawn vs your 6 Natural Wonders within 4 squares of spawn - WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY.(3UC) / (4UC) Third/Fourth Unique Component - two mods that give each 'team' 2 new things: units, buildings, improvements.
Easily a game changer to the teams you already are used to.Advanced Air/Ground/Naval Units - A collection of mods (also available in a single mod) that greatly expand late game options. I rarely run more than one of the individual mods per game because the production list gets crazy long.Un Autre Monde - While I don't have a ton of experience playing with these mods, supposedly they completely revolutionize war-fighting. I recommend the Xia, they receive a mini-UA for finishing a policy tree or building a courthouse in an enemy capital. They also get this bonus when they lose their own capital. After you pass through all 12 dynasties (13 counting the Xia, your starting dynasty), you end up with.
